In the year of the 75th anniversary of the Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War, the St. Petersburg Theater of Musical Comedy, the only theater that worked in besieged Leningrad for all 900 days, could not fail to celebrate this important date. Especially for May 9, the theater prepared the premiere of the play "The Firebird. Songs about War "directed by the laureate of the Russian National Theater Award" Golden Mask "Philip Razenkov. The love story of a girl dying in besieged Leningrad while her lover fights on the outskirts of the city, repelling the attacks of the enemy, was first staged on the musical comedy stage in 1975. 45 years later, it was again supposed to become a hymn to all the inhabitants of Leningrad and the soldiers who gave their lives for victory.

However, the pandemic that has swept the world has made adjustments to the creative plans of the theater. The premiere was postponed indefinitely.

On May 9, one of the parts of the future performance - the sentimental poem by G. Alekseev "The Firebird" to the music of A. Kolker, nevertheless sounded: the theater soloists read it online, being in self-isolation.
